Dr Melinda Reid is an Australian art theory writer, researcher, and educator.
She received her PhD in Art, Media, and Design from the University of NSW, Sydney: Art & Design in 2018. Melinda’s essays have been published locally and overseas. Her work has appeared in Framework, Mülk, Parallel, Running Dog, and Un Magazine. Her writing has also been commissioned for exhibition texts published by Boxcopy, Firstdraft, Hazelhurst Regional Gallery and Arts Centre, Künsterlerhaus Bethanien, Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery, and UTS Gallery. She teaches at the University of NSW, Sydney: Art & Design and at the University of Technology, Sydney. Melinda lives and works in the unceded lands of the Gadigal and Wangal peoples of the Eora Nation.
