Dr Melinda Reid is an Australian art theory writer, researcher, and teacher. She received her PhD in Art, Media, and Design from the University of New South Wales in 2018. Melinda’s essays have been published locally and overseas. Her work has appeared in the Journal of Aesthetics and Art Criticism, Framework, Hag Mag, Mülk, Parallel, Running Dog, Runway, and Un Magazine. Her writing has also been commissioned for exhibition texts published by Boxcopy, Firstdraft, Hazelhurst Regional Gallery and Arts Centre, Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery, and UTS Gallery. Melinda teaches at the University of New South Wales, University of Technology, Sydney, and the National School of Art. Melinda lives and works in the unceded lands of the Gadigal and Wangal peoples of the Eora Nation.
